Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from you all on the internet.
Today's question is:
John confirms the service is highly flexible on location, working at homes, workplaces, and parking lots as long as he can position his equipment beside the vehicle. The main variable is Washington's rainy weather. When it rains, he needs space to set up a tent over the work area to keep the installation dry, and he notes that garages are ideal because they shelter the job from the elements entirely. He carries tents for situations without indoor space. The one limitation he cites is very large lifted trucks, which are too tall to fit under his tent during rain. Otherwise, he estimates roughly ninety percent of vehicles can still be serviced in the rain with the tent in place.
I can do it just about anywhere, like I said, as long as I can get my setup right next to the vehicle. The big factor here in Washington is the rain. If it's coming down, I need enough room to put up a tent over the work area so everything stays dry while I'm installing the glass. Honestly, we love garages — if you've got one, that's ideal, because it keeps everything out of the weather. But I carry tents for the days we don't have that option. The only vehicles I really can't do out in the rain are the giant lifted trucks, because they're too tall to fit under the tent. Outside of those, I'd say about ninety percent of vehicles I can still handle in the rain, no problem, just with the tent set up over it. So whether your car is at your house, your work, or sitting in a parking lot, I can usually make it work — but a garage is always my favorite.
