Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from you all on the internet.
Today's question is:
John explains that Freedom Auto Glass's mobile service is built around convenience, so customers don't need to be present or watch the work being done. The only real requirements are that he can park his truck and trailer directly next to the vehicle and that the vehicle is unlocked so he can access it. Customers commonly leave the car unlocked and continue with their day, leave the keys inside the vehicle, hide a key in the yard, or have John come to their workplace, where he completes the job right in the parking lot. He emphasizes that location is flexible — driveways, work lots, and similar spots all work — as long as he can position his equipment close enough and has room to work.
Honestly, you can do whatever you want while I'm there — you don't have to stand around and watch me. All I really need is to get my truck and trailer parked right next to your vehicle, and I need the vehicle unlocked so I can get into it. That's it. A lot of folks just leave the car unlocked and go about their day. Some people leave the keys inside the car for me, some hide a key somewhere in the yard, and plenty of customers have me come to their workplace and I'll knock it out right there in the parking lot while they're inside working. I go everywhere. As long as I can physically get my setup close enough to the vehicle and I've got room to work, I can do the job. It doesn't matter much where the car is sitting — driveway, work lot, wherever — if I can fit in there and reach it, I can take care of it.
