Hey folks! This is John from Freedom Auto Glass LLC.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from you all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"Do You Clean Up Broken Glass After a Break-In?"

Summary:

John confirms that glass cleanup is included after a break-in and that he takes it seriously. He makes a point of removing every piece of glass he can, knowing the hidden spots where shards tend to fall and later turn up. He pays particular attention to areas like car seats, out of concern that leftover glass could injure someone, especially a child. He's honest that he can't guarantee literally one hundred percent removal, since he isn't a full detailing service, but he works the glass out of the door, the seat fibers, and everywhere reachable — describing his result as roughly 99.999 percent. His goal is to leave the vehicle looking perfect, as though the break-in never happened in the first place.

Answer:

Yes, absolutely. I try my very best to get every single piece of glass out of the car. I know all the secret little hiding places where the glass likes to fall and where people end up finding shards later on, so I really go through it carefully — especially around car seats and things like that, because the last thing I want is for someone, particularly a kid, to get hurt by a leftover piece of glass down the road. Now, I'll be straight with you: I can't promise I'll get a literal one hundred percent of it. I'm not a full detailing service, so I can't guarantee perfection down to the last microscopic fragment. But I get it out of the door, out of the fibers in your seats, and everywhere else I can reach — I'd say I get ninety-nine point nine, nine, nine percent of it. I do my absolute best to make it look perfect. When I leave, I want it to look like nothing ever happened to your car in the first place.
