Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from you all on the internet.
Today's question is:
John is clear that there is no additional charge for mobile service and no separate mobile fee added to the bill. The quote he provides up front is exactly what the customer pays once the job is complete — everything is included in that single number. He reasons that because Freedom Auto Glass is fundamentally a mobile business, charging a fee for traveling to the customer would contradict the core of what the company does. He stresses that there are no surprise charges, no last-minute add-ons, and no hidden costs revealed at the end of the job. The price quoted is the price paid, and he keeps his pricing straightforward by design because that is how he would want to be treated.
No, there's no extra charge for me to come to you, and I don't tack on a separate mobile fee either. When I give you a quote, that number is exactly what you're going to pay me when the job's done and I leave — everything's included in that price. The way I look at it, I'm a mobile business. Coming to the customer is the whole point of what I do, so it never made sense to me to turn around and charge a separate fee for it. Whatever price I tell you up front is the price you pay at the end. There's no surprise charges when I'm finished, nothing extra added on, no 'oh, and there's also this fee' at the end of the job. The quote you get is the quote you pay. I keep it simple on purpose, because that's how I'd want to be treated if I were the one hiring somebody.
